The results to this thesis have since been published in the Speech and Science Journal, a testament to the hard work and long hours Maryam dedicated to this research paper.

Whilst Maryam enjoyed the rewards of research, her passion has always been face-to-face interactions with patients, and as a result has pursued this passion working as an Audiologist at Victorian Hearing. She employs a patient centred care approach, involving both the patient and family members on their journey to improved health.
