You may have heard about tele-health and yes, it is available in audiology too. The term we use is ‘Tele-audiology’ enabling a connection between a Victorian Hearing audiologist, you and your hearing aids without leaving home.
The appointment comprises of a discussion over the telephone and/or remote programming accessed through your smart phone. All hearing aid manufacturers have released this enabling technology over recent years, however not all models of hearing aids will be compatible, particularly if the aids are more than 3 years old.
