About Widex

Widex is a family-owned company, founded in 1956 by Erik Westermann and Christian Topholm. Based in Denmark, Widex has always been a market leader in digital hearing technology producing the ITE (in the ear) in 1985, and 10 years later the first fully digital ITE hearing aid. Today, Widex hearing aids are renowned for their innovative approaches aimed at delivering unparalleled sound quality and optimal performance in various real-life scenarios.
Widex Sound Philosophy
Widex believes in the importance of natural sound for natural hearing. Their advanced technology and deep understanding of sound perception ensure users experience rich sound seamlessly and as close to the natural hearing system as possible. This means that with Widex hearing aids, you gain access to a hearing experience that is so natural that you might forget you even have a hearing loss.

What our Audiologists have to say about Widex

Mina Nadarajah, Victorian Hearing Audiologist

“Widex SmartRIC is the world’s thinnest device that sits behind the ear, offering a powerful auditory experience. I love the user friendly charger, the exceptional music quality, and the affordability of its powerful remote microphone—a small yet mighty tool in the palm of your hands. It’s no wonder engineers love this brand!”
Widex Hearing Aid Styles
Widex offers a range of hearing aids styles including behind-the-ear, in-the-ear, completely-in-the canal, and receiver-in-canal hearing aids. These styles cater for hearing losses ranging from mild to profound.

The Latest Technology from Widex – Widex Moment

Widex Moment, powered by ZeroDelay™ technology, eliminates the artificial sound delay between sound reception and processing, for a more natural auditory experience. By processing sound so quickly, Widex Moment delivers an uninterrupted clear and pure, natural sound.

Built for all types of hearing loss, Widex Moment uses AI technology designed to enhance sound personalisation, to more closely match hearing aid sound quality to wearers’ lifestyles.

Widex’s Moment covers all hearing needs, providing custom ITE (in the ear) options, a rechargeable BTE (behind the ear) option and as well as RIC (receiver in the ear canal) styles.

Widex SmartRIC

Widex Moment’s latest addition, the SmartRIC, introduces a distinctive L-shape along with an innovative portable charging case, bringing a fresh perspective to hearing aid design. With the microphones strategically positioned higher on the device, it creates a more horizontal alignment on the wearer. This configuration allows the directional microphones, located on each side, to better align with the wearer’s focus, enhancing speech comprehension in noisy surroundings.
