PECAUTIONS, ACTIONS & RESPONSE TO COVID-19

As you are aware, Australia is currently impacted by the spread of COVID-19. Although we haven’t been directly affected, we are taking all reasonable precautions to be safe and to ensure we continue to be of service to you.

Our Clayton Clinic is open and operational.
Victorian Hearing are taking practical steps to ensure that our staff, patients and our broader community are provided with a healthy environment.

We are asking all patients and staff not to enter the premises if:

  • You are experiencing fever, cough, sore throat or shortness of breath
  • You have returned from overseas travel in the last 14 days
  • You have had close contact with someone diagnosed or suspected of having Coronavirus

Adults (who have an appointment) are advised NOT to bring their children/grandchildren with them to the appointment and to reschedule if necessary.

Victorian Hearing may be able to provide a home visit service or remote hearing aid fine tuning (depending on your hearing aid model and technology). The Hearing Services Program have announced additional support for clinics and patients in relation to claiming these services.

We continue to ensure high hygiene standards with regard to medical devices and test equipment, including practicing proper hand sanitising procedures and cough
etiquette.

We are closely following advice received from Australian medical authorities, as well as the World Health Organisation (WHO), regarding precautions that are needed to minimise risks concerned with COVID-19.
