Nicole is the Principal Audiologist and Manager at Victorian Hearing. She is also a director on the board of the Hearing Business Alliance (HBA), an organisation advocating for independent audiology practices in Australia.

Nicole graduated from The University of Melbourne in 1991 and has been dedicated to the practice of audiology ever since, grateful that she has found her true vocation. She spent 16 years looking after the needs of hearing-impaired children, and adults with more complex hearing needs, before joining Victorian Hearing in its start-up phase in 2006.

Nicole thrives on being able to improve the communication experience and quality of life for her clients on a daily basis. She is recognised by the industry as a thought leader through her work with the Lyric invisible hearing aid, and as one of the first audiologists in Melbourne to fit this device, her Lyric experience is unmatched.

An audiologist in demand, Nicole approaches each client with a unique combination of empathetic warmth, technical expertise, and genuine humanity. She loves to understand each person’s story and is rewarded when she can reconnect people with their friends and family and breathe new life into their world again through improved hearing.

Patrice completed her undergraduate studies at Macquarie University in 1995. After realising her passion for audiology, she returned to university to complete a Masters of Audiology in 1998. Now based at Victorian Hearing in Melbourne, Patrice began her career in the UK at the Neurology and Neurosurgery Hospital, and Northampton Hospital.

Patrice takes great pride in her trouble-shooting skills, and always goes to great lengths to explore all avenues, never afraid to venture “outside the box’ for her clients to find the perfect solution for each individual. Her relaxed, yet knowledgeable approach means clients instantly feel comfortable and assured that their hearing care is in the best hands. She is genuine, honest and believes a good laugh is just as good a medicine in hearing care as it is in any other area of life. Patrice is also a qualified and experienced Lyric fitting specialist – the 100% invisible hearing solution Victorian Hearing are renowned for.

Gyneth obtained her Bachelor of Science degree at the University of Melbourne in 1995 and Graduate Diploma of Audiology at the University of Queensland in 1996. Gyneth has also been trained to support candidates on their Cochlear implantation journey, as part of the Victorian Cochlear Implant Program, under the auspices of the Royal Victorian Eye and Ear Hospital.

Gyneth enjoys the human element of being an audiologist the most. More specifically, she aims to provide a comfortable environment for those with hearing loss to discuss their concerns and to give them the information and support they need to address them.

Gyneth is genuine and incredibly knowledgeable in all-things audiology. She has a keen interest in understanding the fundamental differences between the vast arrays of amplification available to the hard of hearing. She employs an evidence-based approach to audiology, and is constantly involved in ongoing professional development courses and seminars. She then shares this knowledge with her patients and in practice.

Sally holds a Bachelor of Science degree, with honours in Exercise Physiology. She has also completed a Diploma in Audiology.

Sally knew from an early age that she wanted to work with children. She completed a Bachelor of Science degree with Honours in exercise physiology at the Alfred Hospital, followed by a Diploma of Audiology at Melbourne University. Her paediatric focus led to community health work prior to landing her dream job at the Victorian Royal Children’s Hospital. Over 20 years, she honed her skills in assessment of babies, children & teenagers, focusing on complex cases with multiple medical conditions. She was fortunate to work with other allied health professionals and participate in research with other hospital departments (oncology, respiratory, ENT). Over the last few years, she has had the opportunity to work with adults in the rehabilitation space and be trained in Lyric.

She is thrilled to be able to bring her passion for helping people, young and old, together with her years of experience, to a new role with a talented team. Liz holds a Bachelor of Health Science and Master of Clinical Audiology. Liz wanted to study audiology to help people communicate better with their families. She was inspired by a close family member who she witnessed becoming more and more socially isolated because of hearing loss.

When asked about her favourite part of her job, Liz responds: “It’s getting to know people and about what’s important in their lives. I enjoy learning from people’s experiences and stories. I have an interest in hearing aid fittings as I get to see and hear all about communication improvements, by being a part of the positive impact it has on their quality of life and relationships”. Liz also enjoys working across the lifespan, with children, adolescent and adult populations.

Liz’s most significant professional achievement is achieving Lyric (100% invisible hearing) accreditation and becoming trained in wax removal. On top of this, becoming trained to deliver Auditory Processing appointments provides Liz with great satisfaction.

Mina obtained a Bachelor of Speech Pathology in 2013. Working as a speech pathologist, Mina gained a special interest in Audiology through providing Auditory training for children with hearing impairment. This inspired her to pursue her Master’s in Audiology which she completed in 2016 at Flinders University in Adelaide, SA. Mina has also been trained to support candidates on their Cochlear implantation journey, as part of the Victorian Cochlear Implant Program, under the auspices of the Royal Victorian Eye and Ear Hospital.

Mina has since enjoyed the world of Audiology working with both children and adults. She feels that a successful hearing aid outcome is the most rewarding part of our job. Making a difference in someone’s life by improving their hearing, allowing them to connect with their surroundings and giving them back their confidence, is what makes our role as hearing care professionals worth it.

Mina is passionate about helping people understand their hearing and improving their quality of life. She does so by keeping up with professional development and providing a holistic approach to care.

Sandra holds a Bachelor of Arts, Bachelor of Science and Masters in Audiology. Her holistic approach to healthcare stems from her diverse background in psychology, pharmacology, and neuroscience. Understanding the auditory system in its entirety and interactions with innovation has led Sandra to be constantly analysing technologies within the hearing space.

Sandra has extensive professional experience across both private and public sectors including The Royal Victorian Eye and Ear Hospital and Alice Springs Hospital. She enjoys being part of multidisciplinary teams working alongside speech pathologists, nurses, general practitioners and Ear, Nose and Throat surgeons to deliver ethical, compassionate hearing health care.

She is an active member of Audiology Australia and Remote Area Health Corps, focused on providing patient centred care, working with both patients and their families to achieve better hearing outcomes.

Keith is an independent audiology business owner contracted to Victorian Hearing.

Keith obtained a Bachelor of Behavioural Neuroscience at Monash University in 2004, followed by Graduate Diploma in Audiological Science (2005) and a Master of Clinical Audiology at Melbourne University (2006).

Keith’s specialization is the Lyric hearing aid: the world’s first and only 100% invisible, extended-wear device. He was part of the first wave of clinicians to be certified to fit the device in Australia, in 2011. His passion for the device led him to visit the United States, to learn alongside the best practitioners in the world and to visit Lyric Headquarters in Switzerland, to observe development and manufacturing. He was the Australian Lyric Key Opinion Leader in 2015, the award for outstanding service and innovation, and the first individual to achieve 100 subscriptions in Australia. He has trained and upskilled dozens of clinicians across the country, and speaks regularly at Lyric conferences—including those in the United States.

Rosalie started her academic studies in Speech Pathology but quickly realized that Audiology was where she wanted to be. Rosalie has worked with both adults and children. Her passion lies in Paediatrics, especially working with children of all ages and their families. Rosalie has more than 20 years’ experience, working in the Private health system across Metropolitan Melbourne and the Mornington Peninsula. Rosalie’s special interest is in assisting children who may be having difficulties in an educational setting through the assessment of their Auditory Processing skills and facilitating a holistic approach with collaboration with other specialists, to help children be the best versions of themselves.

Rosalie is a Certified Advanced Paediatric Audiologist. This means that she is certified as having advanced skills working with infants, children and young people under the age of18. Her certification is supported by ongoing training requirements and a required amount of paediatric clinical experience each year. As an Accredited Audiologist, Rosalie also adheres to the Code of Conduct for health care workers.

Liam graduated from the University of Melbourne in 2010 with a Master of Clinical Audiology, after first completing a Bachelor of Science. He has worked in both private hearing clinics and public hospitals, gaining extensive experience in hearing aid fitting, wax removal, and tinnitus counseling. As an Accredited Audiologist, Liam is a full member of Audiology Australia and holds a Certificate of Clinical Practice.

Liam’s passion for audiology was kindled at a young age and has grown with each passing year as he discovers more ways to enhance people’s lives through the joys of better hearing. His clients love his personable, relaxed, and knowledgeable style—he loves a good chat! He recognises that everyone is unique and believes that an individualized approach to hearing care delivers the best results.

In his spare time Liam enjoys playing the Scottish bagpipes, which is definitely a hobby that he shouldn’t be doing as an audiologist. But don’t worry – he wears good hearing protection!

She has worked a diverse range of roles from indigenous communities and mining sites around Australia, humanitarian work in the Pacific and Beijing and running a private practice. She hopes to bring all she has learnt to her role at Victorian Hearing.

Nicole has a wealth of experience in dealing with enquiries, and arranging appointments for our clients, to get you the right advice and help that you may need. She is the friendly face at our reception desk – welcoming our clients, responding to queries, providing a hearing aid maintenance service and trouble-shooting hearing aid concerns. She has extensive experience in dealing with the administration of the Commonwealth Government’s hearing program, the Office of Hearing Services.

Samantha has experience in many areas including customer service, marketing, bookkeeping and operations management. Of course, being a mum, she loves spending time with her family and watching her kids participate in sport.
